Observable is a data visualization and collaboration platform. We are a Series B startup. Observable helps everyone make sense of the world with data. We are looking for a passionate Principal Engineer who can help us build a place where people can work together to explore, analyze, and communicate with data.

What you'll do at Observable
  • Extensive experience and proven track record of feature development and delivery across a frontend and backend stack.
  • Guide and influence the design, development, testing and maintenance of the full software stack
  • Take initiative, prioritize and manage workloads, and meet project deadlines.
  • Work closely with developers, product and other cross functional teams to ship new features and innovations
  • Ability to write readable, maintainable self-documenting or well-documented code to solve complex problems
