Job Description
At WWCode, our community is at the heart of everything we do. As a Social Media Coordinator, you will have an exciting opportunity to create and curate strategic and engaging content for this large, growing and global audience. You must have strong skills in multi-channel propagation and social analytics, online engagement, and internal team communication. Our ideal candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team of storytellers, content creators, and campaigners focused on one or more products or projects that engage our members and audiences in a way that amplifies the WWCode advocate voice to inspire connection, and strategic action.
You are responsible for upholding the mission, vision, and values of WWCode and collaborating with different teams to create a connected content strategy that reflects the WWCode brand voice and resonates with the WWCode audience.
This position will report to the Social Media Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Craft, curate, publish, and manage social media content focused on everything from creating and writing copy to scheduling for both rapid response and long-term campaigns for a global audience of technologists.
Leverage source content from the WWCode ecosystem to produce content that includes technical protips, coding resources, career success, tech humor, life hacks, and advocacy pieces.
Track and analyze data metrics for performance improvements and weekly KPI reporting.
Manage engagement for assigned WWCode social media channels (Meta, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, other platforms as assigned).
Align all content efforts with the WWCode advocate brand voice, personality, and tone, while helpling to amplify diverse voices for different venues and purposes.
Collaborate with Social Media Manager to manage content calendar according to both evergreen and topical cultural, industry, and political happenings, opportunities, and development
Assist WWCode Communications team as needed, including and not excluding content process development, integration of emerging tools and methods, and process documentation throughout the organization
Stay up to date with the latest digital trends surrounding best practices for community and social engagement.
Take an active role in developing paid social strategies that support the WWCode overall digital marketing program
Develop and execute paid social campaigns for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube
Partner with Social Media Manager and subject matter experts to create compelling conversations that celebrate diversity and inclusion, raise awareness about bias that exists in our industry, and advocates for a more equitable, inclusive, and diverse industry and world.
Look for new ways to elevate the conversation, activate influencers, and engage our audience.
Build good working partnerships with teammates in remote locations.
Other duties as assigned in relation to the core function of this role as part of the communications and marketing team.
Experience with social copywriting and paid social strategy preferred
