Maker Bytes

Issue 122

We are building features for the Women Who Code community and we want to highlight that work with our stakeholders, you! THANK YOU to our contributors for dedicating their valuable time to help us build tech a place where women can excel.

You can follow all of our work on github. Below are a few snippets of our awesome features.

Released

During this weeks sprint we made some updates to links, changed the way admins are validated, resolved a small search error and added two new team members to the website!

Update Profiles on Blogs to use Ajax
We replaced the implementation of profile selection on blog posts with a jQuery select2 implementation. This allows searching by name or email. We also set the page to use pagination in order to reduce load time. This allows us to post Maker Bytes again, yay!

Added Rehema to About Page
We added Software Engineer and WWCode Code Team member Rehema Wachira to the About page. Welcome!

Added Allison to About Page
We added Software Engineer and Core Team member Allison Levine to the About page. Welcome!

Allow Nil for Href Value
This allows links on Network Events, Networks, Announcements, Profiles, Blogs, Resources, Jobs, and the Companies page can be left blank, and an error will not be returned. An error will only occur if an invalid link structure is entered.

Use Profile Lead Role for AA Access
This changes the way that we validate the credentials of members of different levels when they visit different pages on the site.

Resolved Job Search Error
When the character % was used in a job search it returned an error. This has now been resolved.
