Issue 110
We are building features for the Women Who Code community and we want to highlight that work with our stakeholders, you! THANK YOU to our contributors for dedicating their valuable time to help us build tech a place where women can excel.
You can follow all of our work on github. Below are a few snippets of our awesome features.
Released
During this week's sprint we focused on resolving some small bug issues with a few of our features while working to ensure that our code and product is operating optimally.
Fixed Search Bug on Plan Promotions Page
We resolved an issue where two React.js components had the same name, which caused an error to appear in the search area on the plan promotion page, by giving a more specific name to the plan promotions container.
Fixed Enter Error on Job Board Page
We fixed a problem where customers purchasing jobs would hit enter to add a job stack, and instead of adding it, the form would save.
Resolved jQuery Versions Conflict
When we recently upgraded to ActiveAdmin it made jQuery3 the default version. However, the site is actually written with jQuery1 in mind, which is quite different from v3. Rather than changing a lot of code to make the front end compatible with with v3, we implemented a fix that makes the active admin code stay in the admin area, with the old jQuery v1 on the non admin side. This follos best practices.
Blog Titles are Clickable
We made it so that when you go to womenwhocode.com/blogs the title of each blog is clickable and will take you to the post.
Removed Unused Donations Code
We removed some outdated code that was related to donations.
