Issue 91
We are building features for the Women Who Code community and we want to highlight that work with our stakeholders, you! THANK YOU to our contributors for dedicating their valuable time to help us build tech a place where women can excel.
You can follow all of our work on github. Below are a few snippets of our awesome features.
Released
Website
During this week's sprint, we made significant improvements to the Network pages and the Job Board and implemented a few other important updates.
We updated our functionality to allow Network Leads to add new Network events. These will show up on the appropriate Network page, as well as that Network's separate Events page. We also altered the system so that admin data, specifically event dates, is not overwritten by data provided by Meetup. In addition, we changed the text on Network events page's so that the title reads "Network Events" rather than "Global Events"
On the design side, we changed the footer "Become a Member" link so that rather than taking users to an outside form, they are taken to a sign up page on WomenWhoCode.com.
We also made an important update to the jobs board, including a "remote" field that can be checked by employers, and then searched specifically by people looking for remote work.
